What sets Takers.ca site apart from other home help search sites?

Takers.ca is the 1st home help search site that is 100% free for families! The self-employed workers pay for a subscription, which lets families deal with active, serious candidates. Takers.ca is also the 1st Canadian platform of self-employed workers who offer home help services.

Is Takers.ca a search site exclusively for babysitting and family assistance (nannies)?

No! On the Takers.ca platform, everything is in place for you to request bids in eight distinct home help sectors: babysitting, family assistance (nannying), housekeeping, homework help, home care assistance, odd jobs and maintenance, pet sitting and care, and private classes. Click here to select your need and request bids free of charge!

My home help need doesn’t appear among the eight sectors. What should I do?

No worries! We encourage you to post your home help request anyway by selecting the sector that most closely matches your need, which you will then be able to describe as specifically as possible.

How many bids will I receive if I post a home help request?

By posting a home help request, you will be able to receive up to five bids. We invite you to read our terms of use here. The number of bids that you will receive will depend on the number of self-employed workers in your area whose skills match what you are looking for in terms of home help.

How long will my home help request be posted?

Your home help request will be posted for 45 days. If you haven’t found the self-employed worker who meets your needs, we recommend posting your home help request again. The Takers.ca platform is constantly expanding!

How much does it cost to register for the Takers.ca platform?

What is the difference between the Regular and Premium packages?

The Premium package gives you access to the client’s contact information once your bid has been sent. It also lets you add a photo or logo to your profile (used for the bid form) in order to personalize it and highlight key information related to your home help services.

How can I know if a contract has been posted near me?

In the menu at the top of the page, click on Available contracts or follow us on Facebook by clicking here. We regularly post the available home help contracts according to the city and business sector. Stay tuned!

Will all platform users have access to my profile?

No! Your profile will not be visible. However, some of the information contained in your profile will automatically be added to your personalized bid form in order to accelerate the process when you want to bid on a home help contract.

How can I edit my profile?

You can edit your profile by logging in to your account and clicking on Edit my profile.

Will Takers.ca be responsible for paying my invoices?

No! Takers.ca is only a contact platform between you and the families. We invite you to read the site’s terms of use by clicking here.

Can the other bidders see the price of my bid?

No! Only you and your potential client can see the bid sent for home help services.

What does the “Closed” notice that appears beside the contracts mean?

The “Closed” notice means that the client has received the maximum number of bids—that is, 5. It is therefore no longer possible to bid on this home help contract.

How can I know if my bid was selected?

If the client selects your bid, they will contact you by email or phone. Are you a Premium member? Good news! You automatically have access to the client’s contact information once your bid has been sent so that you can follow up with them. Are you a Regular member and want to contact the client? Click here to discover the benefits of being a Premium member!

There aren’t any contracts posted in my city. Is this normal?

Despite all the efforts made by Takers.ca to publicize the platform, during a given period, there may be no home help contracts posted in your city. The network is constantly expanding! Stay tuned!

I am a member with a Regular package. Can I switch to a Premium package during my subscription?
